Heat Wave is the newest addition to our herd sire lineup. We have great admiration for his dam, GCH Lakeshore Farms Summer Storm 5*M EX92 (EEEE). She was the 2004 ADGA Junior National Champion and in 2005 she was 1st place with 1st place Udder Two Year-Old. His sire, SG ++*B Kastdemur's At Your Service, had produced several outstanding daughters including: GCH Lakeshore Farms Sierra Storm 4*M EX90 (VEEE), 1st place Four Year-Old at the 2004 ADGA National Show; Lakeshore Ace Sierra Vista 4*M EX91 (EEEE), 4th place Two Year-Old at the 2007 ADGA National Show and SGCH Lakeshore Farms Ace Of Hearts EX91 (EEEE), 1st place Two Year-Old with Best Nubian Udder at the 2003 ADGA National Show. Heat Wave's littermate sister, Lakeshore Ace Summer Solstice, was 6th place Senior Kid at the 2007 ADGA National Show. Another maternal sister, Lakeshore EX Summer Sensation, was 3rd place Senior Yearling at the 2007 ADGA National Show.

Heat Wave is a sharp, clean, angular buck with excellent feet and legs, a beautiful front end and great breed character.

Heat Wave hasn't been too cooperative this fall, so we will try again in 2008 ... hopefully with better results!

Freestyle is a handsome young buck that is sharp, clean and angular with length and levelness across the topline and a wide, level rump. He excels in dairy character and exhibits great strength and smoothness of blending at an early age along with near ideal rear leg set and superb breed character.

Freestyle’s dam, GCH Kastdemur’s Finesse 3*M EX90 (EVEE), was 1st place with 1st place Udder Milking Yearling at the 2003 ADGA National Show and won her class again as a Two Year-Old in 2004. She is a daughter of the 1999 ADGA National Champion with Best Nubian Udder, GCH Kastdemur’s Crown Finale 2*M and a maternal sister to the 2001 ADGA National Champion with Best Nubian Udder, GCH Kastdemur’s Aubree 3*M. Freestyle is sired by SG +*B Kastdemur’s LE Exacta, a son of GCH ++*B Kastdemur’s MPR Liaison and Kastdemur’s CPE No Excuses 4*M who is a daughter of the 1997 ADGA National Champion with Best Nubian Udder, GCH Kastdemur’s Crown Extatic 3*M. Exacta has sired some outstanding daughters in the Redwood Hills herd including, SG Redwood Hills Exacta Simba 6*M EX91 (EEEE) who was a Top Ten Breed Leader in 2003 ranking #9 in Butterfat.

We are excited to have been able to add this well bred young buck to our herd. Thank you Karen and Krista for giving us the chance to work with these exceptional genetics!

A Full Service son to add to our breeding program! Thank you Karen and Krista Senn for sharing this beautiful buck with us. Monty is long, tall, and level with upstandingness in the front end and walks with a great deal of width between the hocks. He is also dairy carrying a long, flat bone pattern throughout.

His full sister, SG Kastdemur’s Mystique 2*M VG89 (VEVE), was 4th place Milking Yearling at the 2005 ADGA National Show. Another full sister, SG Kastdemur’s Mystere 2*M VG89 (VEEE), was 2nd place Senior Yearling at the 2005 ADGA National Show and has two legs towards her permanent championship. Monty’s dam, SGCH Wooden Bridge Banner’s Miracle 1*M, is a daughter of CH Wooden Bridge Poppycake Banner, the 1995 ADGA National Champion. His sire, SG ++*B Kastdemur’s LH Full Service, was named Premier Sire at the 1999, 2005 and 2006 ADGA National Shows. He also sired the Reserve Junior National Champion and 1st place Junior Get-Of-Sire in 2005 along with the 1st place Four Year-Old and the 2nd place Senior Get-Of-Sire in 2006.

Monty’s first two kid crops certainly met our high expectations! They are all very uniform in type being very dairy and long bodied with level toplines, sharpness in the withers and lovely breed character. They have proven to be very showy kids that have excelled in the show ring with all of his daugters in our herd having earned dry legs and most winning BJDIS honors as well!

Young Sire Development Buck

Show Me The Money is a stylish buck that is well balanced, standing on a strong set of feet and legs, with strength and levelness over the topline while on the move and at rest and smoothness of blending throughout. Like his dam, he is very dairy being flat boned, incredibly angular and open. Show Me The Money had a great show season in 2007 earning two legs towards his permanent championship.

His dam, GCH Kastdemur’s FS Santa Cruz 10*M, is a herd favorite. Santa Cruz was 1st place with 2nd place Udder Four Year-Old at the 2006 ADGA National Show and 3rd place with 3rd place Udder Three Year-Old and was awarded Highest 305 Butterfat at the 2005 ADGA National Show. His sire, SG ++*B Kastdemur’s Final Justice is a littermate brother to the 1999 National Champion, GCH Kastdemur's Crown Finale 2*M, and a 3/4 brother to the 1997 National Champion, GCH Kastdemur's Crown Extatic 3*M. Show Me The Money is also a paternal brother to other does residing in the herd: GCH Lakeshore Farms Just Tangy 3*M and GCH Lakeshore Farms Just Tina 5*M.

   Show Me The Money
was stingy with doelings in 2007, but we are impressed with the few daughters he has given us. One daughter, Blissberry SM Notorious, was 14th place Intermediate Kid at the 2007 ADGA National Show, and another, Blissberry Show Me Victory, earned a YSA of 0-05 Ec (EcEcV).

2006 INBA All Ameircan Two Year-Old Buck

Jack has the designation of being one of the most attractive bucks on our farm. He is a very large and tall buck with a lot of substance of bone and good width and depth throughout. He is extremely level across the back and has a wide, flat rump. Jack finished his championship in 2006 with an impressive show record of 3 X GCH, 1 X RGCH, 3 X BOB and 2 X BBIS!

We have long admired Jack’s dam, GCH Lakeshore Farms Julie’s Jaguar 3*M EX92 (EEEE), and are excited to have been able to add her son to our breeding program. Jaguar has consistently shown well at Nationals placing 2nd as a Five - Six Year-Old in 2006, 2nd as a Four year-Old in 2005, 2nd as a Three Year-Old in 2004, 2nd as a Two Year-Old in 2003 and 10th as a Milking Yearling in 2002. This year Jaguar was crowned the 2007 ADGA Reserve National Champion with Reserve Best Udder.  Jack’s sire, SG ++*B Kastdemur’s At Your Service, sired the 1st place Two Year-Old and National Best Nubian Udder at the 2003 ADGA National Show, the 1st place Four Year-Old at the 2004 Nationals and also several other high placing animals.

Request is a very large buck who excels in strength of general appearance being very smooth blended throughout, long and level over the topline with tremendous width across the loin and over the rump. He is also very wide and open in the escutcheon with good rear leg angulation and strength of feet and legs. Request finished his championship in 2006 with a show record of 1 X GCH, 1 X BOB and 1 X BBIS.

Request is nearly a genetic full brother to GCH Lakeshore Farms EX Tamia 4*M who was 5th place Two Year-Old in 2001, 5th place Three Year-Old in 2002, 7th place Four Year-Old in 2003, and 4th place Five Year-Old at the 2004 National Show. His dam, SGCH Wingwood Farm ESC Tamina 3*M, was 4th place Aged Doe in 1999 and a member of the 1st place Senior Get-Of-Sire. His sire, SG ++*B Kastdemur’s Final Justice, is a littermate brother to the 1999 National Champion, GCH Kastdemur’s Crown Finale 2*M.

We are very proud of what this buck has done for our herd. His daughters all have very similar mammary systems that are high and wide in the rear with well extended fores and plumb teats. They are very sound individuals as evidenced by their appraisal scores; GCH Lakeshore Farms Hot Gossip 4*M (3-02 VG89), SGCH Blissberry R Rockin’ Robin 2*M (3-06 EX90), and SG Blissberry R Afternoon Delight 4*M (1-04 VG87). These three daughters also made up the 1st place Senior Get-Of-Sire for Request at the 2006 Minnesota State Fair. His daughter, Robin, is also a Top Ten Breed Leader in all three areas. Needless to say, we like what we see!

Awards: 2004 INBA Reserve All American Yearling Buck
2005 INBA All American Two Year-Old Buck

Chevy is a striking buck that is very structurally correct. He is tall, long and level across the topline, with upstandingness in the front end, a wide, flat rump and excellent rear leg angulation. His dam, GCH Lakeshore Farms Just Tangy 3*M, has consistently placed well at National Shows, being 3rd place Two Year-Old in 2002, 3rd place Three Year-Old in 2003, and 6th place Five & Six Year-Old in 2005. Chevy’s sire, +*B Lakeshore Farms Doctor Luke, sired the 2004 ADGA Junior National Champion as well as the 1st place Milking Yearling, 1st place Two Year-Old and 1st place Senior Get-Of-Sire at the 2005 ADGA National Show.

Chevy’s dry stock have been quite impressive and we are more than pleased with the results after freshening his first daughters. His offspring excel in strength of general appearance, being tall and upstanding with levelness over the topline, sharpness in the withers, and strong in the brisket. His daughters are also proving to be strong milkers with mammaries that are well attached with height in the rear and smoothness of blending in the fore. Chevy’s daughters have done well in the show ring with Blissberry CT Rumor 3*M being 4th place Senior Yearling and Blissberry CT Cecilia 3*M being 2nd place Senior Kid at the 2005 ADGA National Show. In limited showing this season, Cecilia earned another leg towards her permanent championship and was 1st place/1st Udder at the 2007 Minnesota State Fair. Chevy is very special to us not only for his lovely progeny, but for his gentle nature and sweet disposition that he consistently passes on to his offspring.

We had been waiting forever for an Aubree son and jumped at the chance to add this wonderful buck to our herd when Karen offered him to us as a baby. Almost Famous not only exhibits incredible dairiness and flatness of bone, but he is consistently stamping his daughters with that same characteristic. He is also long and level with smoothness of blending in the shoulders, standing on strong feet and legs and has beautiful breed character. He is a son of the 2001 ADGA National Champion with Best Nubian Udder, GCH Kastdemur's Aubree 3*M EX92 (EEEE) and a grandson of the 1999 ADGA National Champion with Best Nubian Udder, GCH Kastdemur's Crown Finale 2*M EX91 (EEVE). Almost Famous' maternal sister, SGCH Kastdemur's Audacity 4*M EX91 (EEEE), was the 2003 ADGA Junior National Champion and was 8th place Two Year-Old in 2004 and 4th place Three Year-Old in 2005. His littermate sister, Kastdemur’s Breeze 4*M, earned 2 legs towards her permanent championship along with a BIS win and appraised EX92 (EEEE) in 2006. His sire, +*B Lakeshore Farms Doctor Luke, sired the 2004 ADGA Junior National Champion along with the 1st place Milking Yearling, 1st place Two Year-Old and 1st place Sr. Get-Of-Sire in 2005.

Almost Famous has not given us many daughters but we are delighted with what he has shown us so far. His offspring are much improved in the area of dairiness than their dams, carrying a long, flat bone pattern with openness and angularity throughout. He is also improving mammary systems, adding height and width to the rear udders as well as correct teat size and placement.

Wild At Heart's dam, SGCH Lakeshore Farms Ace of Hearts EX91 (EEEE), is a doe that needs no introduction… she was named Best Nubian Udder at the 2003 ADGA National Show where she was also 1st place Two-Year Old. Wild At Heart's maternal sister, GCH Lakeshore Farms Hearts Extasia 1*M EX91 (VEEE), was 1st place Milking Yearling at the 2004 ADGA National Show, 6th place Two Year-Old in 2005 and 1st place Three Year-Old in 2006. His sire, SG ++*B Kastdemur’s Final Justice, is a littermate brother to the 1999 ADGA National Champion, GCH Kastdemur's Crown Finale 2*M.

Wild At Heart is tall and upstanding with smoothness of blending and length of body and levelness over the topline. He is also very dairy with sharpness in the withers, openness of ribbing and flatness of bone.

His first kids carry a great deal of balance and maturity for their age, strength and angulation to the rear legs, sharpness in the front end with length and levelness across the topline. His first milking daughter, Blissberry Wild Antiquity 4*M, freshened with a beautiful mammary that is very desirable in shape with a strong overall area of attachment both fore and rear.

Wild At Heart had been a part of our herd for the past few years thanks to the generosity of the Tredway Family. He is now back in California, but we look forward to using him again in the future through the power of A.I.

King is a son of GCH Lassenwood Miller Kiona 1*M, 4th place Three Year-Old at the 2004 ADGA National Show, 3rd place/3rd Udder in 2005 and 4th place 5 & 6 Year Old in 2006. His sire, ++*B Brown Sugar's Crown Ambassador, has been 3 times Premier Sire at the ADGA National Show and has sired two National Champions, in addition to being the grandsire of three National Champions. He has been on the ADGA Elite Sire List numerous times and has many champion and EX daughters, granddaughters, sons, grandsons, and beyond. His offspring have repeatedly proven themselves in the show ring, in appraisal, and in production over the years.

His sire, ++*B Kastdemur’s Crown Excess, was named the 2003 and 2004 ADGA National Premier Nubian Sire.      Aptly named in reference to our diversion from Nubians, we acquired Detour in the most unusual manner. Most people don't go our and get a buck first before even having some does in the herd under their belt, but we couldn't help ourselves with this guy. It was apparent from the start that Detour was special. He was incredibly tall, sharp, clean boned and angular with exceptional length of body. Detour displayed the extreme overall correctness and dairy character that is a trademark of the Kastdemur herd. His feet and legs were outstanding, both in the strength of pastern and set and angle to the rear legs. Detour had the most amazing personality and we credit him for being single handedly responsible for our love of the LaMancha breed. Smarter than he should've been, more loving that a buck usually is and so creative in getting the attention he was so sure that he deserved. We appreciated every moment we had with him.

Detour is the last son of the beautiful, SGCH One*Oak*Hill Tumbleweed Diva 1*M EX93 (EEEE) who was 1st place Three Year-Old with Best LaMancha Udder at the 1999 ADGA National Show. Diva has had several sons that have produced winning daughters including the 2006 National Champion, SGCH Kickapoo Valley Respect Sequel. His sire, Kastdemur's Sting, is a son of the lovely SGCH Kastdemur's Slice 3*M EX93 (EEEE), the 2005 ADGA National Champion with Best LaMancha Udder.

We were heartbroken when we lost Detour suddenly this summer and we miss him tremendously, but plan to use him via A.I. for many years to come.

Blade's dam, SGCH Elm*Glen Bruno Betty 1*M, has been 2nd place at the 2004, 2005 and 2006 ADGA National Shows and appraised EX92 (EEEE). Blade's full brother, *B Elm*Glen Brazil, sired several beautiful offspring for the Kastdemur herd, including the high selling ($9100) LaMancha buckling at the 2006 ADGA Spotlight Sale, CH *B Kastdemur's Slice Of Life, and the currently undefeated milking yearling, Kastdemur's Bohemia, among others.

A huge thank you to Jennifer Lohman-Peterson for allowing us to use Blade on our very special LaMancha does.
